Macedonian coats of arms on the Internet on the first Macedonian webpage about heraldry
The webpage "Heraldry in Macedonia" is the work of a Macedonian enthusiast in heraldry and is a member of several international heraldry societies.
More than two years have passed since the only Macedonian webpage about heraldry (the discipline dealing with coats of arms) was set up. At the address http://heraldry.mol.com.mk, the visitors can be informed about the foundations of heraldry and the state of coats of arms in Macedonia.
The webpage "Heraldry in Macedonia" is the work of a Macedonian enthusiast, who got interested in heraldry in the 90s, while studying in the United Kingdom, a country with a rich heraldic heritage, and has studied this historic discipline ever since.
- This page is an attempt at popularisation of heraldry in Macedonia. In it there are coats of arms that are being used in Macedonia, or are connected to Macedonia in any way, but also information about heraldry in general – says Jovan Jonovski. He is a member of several international and national heraldry societies, as well as the initiator for the formation of a Macedonian heraldry society, which is in it's infancy.
On the page, which is in Macedonian and English, along general information about heraldry, Jonovski has put up four coats of arms that he created for individuals, as well as one that he created for a company. Special attention is paid to the traditional arms of Macedonia, the golden lion on a red field. There are also the coats of arms of several cities and municipalities in Macedonia, along with several links to webpages about heraldry.
Today's meeting brought the election of a new executive board. Herald Jonovski was re-elected for another presidential term. The former secretary, Petar Gajdov, was elected vice president, and for secretary was elected Aleksandar Gizharovski.

The text of the English Heradld number 5 given in full
By the end of the summer of 1995 I was hired by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia to make a study, along with a graphical solution for a new state flag. The plan was to come up with several different ideas for the new flag in the first phase of the study, from which – in collaboration with the client –one would have been chosen which would have been acceptable for all actors on the political stage at the time. As a result of this study, a graphical solution of a new state coat of arms should have also been created, whose adoption by the Assembly, as an obligation from the Constitutional law, was already several years late. In an agreement with the client, the graphical solution of the state coat of arms was to be a secondary “product” and it had to contain the same motif and stylization as the flag. The work had to be done in an indecent amount of time, less than a month, and the political atmosphere in which the negotiations for the Interim Agreement with the Hellenic Republic (Greece) were held required that all the work was to be done in complete discretion. The coordinator of the project and the “program director” who made the decisions in the name of the client was the Minister of Internal Affairs at that time, Ljubomir Frchkoski.
Now on the new forum of the Macedonian Heraldry Society you will be able to discuss on heraldry, Phaleristics, Genealogy, Phaeleristics, amblematics and related disciplines.
